Seeking motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians. This position is open to both entry-level candidates looking to start a career in construction testing and experienced technicians seeking long-term growth.
As a CMT Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of construction materials used on active job sites.
Responsibilities
Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials including concrete, soils, asphalt, and masonry
Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, plans, and applicable codes
Monitor concrete placements, soil compaction, and other critical construction activities
Collect, document, and report accurate test results in a timely manner
Communicate findings with project managers, contractors, and internal team members
Identify non-conforming work and report issues in accordance with QA/QC procedures
Maintain equipment and ensure proper testing methods are followed
Entry-Level Candidates:
Interest in construction, or materials testing
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Willingness to obtain certifications (ACI, NICET, TxDOT, etc.)
Experienced Candidates:
Prior experience in construction materials testing or inspection
Active certifications (ACI Field Grade I preferred)
Familiarity with soils, concrete, and compaction testing procedures
Strong documentation and reporting skills
